A private company which has subsidiaries in Holland and in the US. The company develops and sells software tools
for the design of Electronic Components. In 2012, Sagantec established Sage Design Automation.
Sage-DA, which is headquartered in the Silicon Valley, develops and markets software-based solutions for the
semiconductor industry. Its focus is on the physical design and the interface between design and manufacturing.
Sage-DA has developed unique patent-pending technologies that automate current mostly manual processes.
Design rules are the interface between semiconductor design and manufacturing. Today design rules are captured
manually, design rule checks (DRC) are programmed manually and so are technology files for physical design.
Sage's main product is iDRM: integrated Design Rule Manager. It is a platform for the development, capture,
communication and verification of design rules. It replaces multiple manual processes both on the fab side and on the design side.
The iDRM solution offers a new paradigm to manage design rules. It enables one point entry that automatically
generates all other representations.
